The elephant Type artwork was part of the India throught Type Project aiming to bring out some unique and interesting aspects of India through various type experiments. Niteesh Yadav is travelling across the country to witness the rich culture, art/crafts and daily practices from which he draws inspiration for these pieces. This is inspired from the decorations done on the elephants during various Indian festivals and auspicious occasions in the country. Jaipur being one of the major cities which is known for its elephants and royal connections. One of the best thing about Jaipur is that it has a dedicated village setup by the government to provide proper care and facilities for the elephants.
