Bryan Danielson Has No Plans To Ever Return To WWE, Current AEW Deal Will Be His Last

While it was techinically always a two-way street, the back and forth between WWE and AEW is probably about to become a lot busier. Triple H has already been bringing a lot of released wrestlers back from whence they came, and it appears all is not well backstage in AEW. Some people still have no interest in returning to WWE though, including Bryan Danielson.

Never Returning To WWE

The multi-time WWE Champion confirmed that he has no intentions of ever returning to WWE during a Q&A he conducted in Vancouver. Some of the more interesting points from the night, including that reveal, were shared on Reddit. Not only did Danielson reveal he has no intentions of wrestling in WWE again, but he also said his current deal with AEW will be his last.

Not just his last in AEW, but his last in wrestling. Danielson signed a three-year deal with his current employers when he joined last summer, which means he has two years to go until his in-ring career is potentially over. While he'll only be 43 by then, which isn't necessarily old in wrestling today, he cited the want to be a dad as the reason for potentnially haning up his boots in 2024.

More Time To Be A Dad

Danielson has been a dad for a while, of course, but means he wants to be more involved. His schedule will have been lightened significantly by moving from WWE to AEW, hence the lack of desire to ever return to the company where he defied the odds and found so much success. While he likely has a lot of say in how much he does or doesn't wrestle right now, no wrestling at all is clearly the best option for him as his kids get older.

That Danielson is wrestling at all today is something a lot of fans have probably started to take for granted. The BCC member was forced to retire but was able to return a few years later. Hopefully he can avoid any serious injuries for what might well be the final two years of his career, allowing him to retire on his own terms in 2024. As for the immediate future, Danielson will have the chance to become AEW Champion next week at Grand Slam.
